All prices are from sales made between Feb 2018 and Jan 2019. Items in excellent condition obviously command prices towards the upper end of the range.
Patterns are definitely starting to emerge, and anomalous prices are slowly being ironed out . With a couple of exceptions, the DL series of modules are the cheapest - they were common in the mid/late 80s, and are generally held in pretty low regard.
Some of the highly regarded 'classics' sell for higher prices, I6 and S1 were not uncommon when I was a kid, but both now command prices in excess of £20 a copy, probably due to their notoriety.
Something I have now included is a 'target' price - while the average is useful, it can be skewed by a couple of wonky sales, eg T1-4 The Temple of Elemental Evil. It's one of the biggest selling 1E modules on Ebay, and frequently commands a high price. But should it? I have 20 sales listed, the average price is over £40, and yet I've set the target price at £25 - that's because 4 of those 20 sales have been for £25 or less, and another 6 were for £31-£39. Be patient, wait, be sensible. There's no need to pay £40+ for it. Of course, be willing to part with a little more cash for a copy in extremely good condition, but still, that example which sold for over £100 was just ridiculous....
Note this will be my last post on this for a while, tracking prices manually is a time consuming task, and with nearly a year's data I feel I have enough...for now. I hope it has helped someone else too, somewhere, anywhere?
