Party Dead Pool

Here lie the following, who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the search of gold and glory...

Fergus (2nd level Druid) - led the party down into darkness in the Moathouse of T1, got eaten by Ghouls for his troubles

Raymir (1st level Ranger) - had his life squeezed from him by a Pan Lung (U2 optional encounter)

Valmir (2/2 Fighter/Thief) - foolishly celebrated the slaying of a Lamia by drinking from her poisoned chalice (UK4)

Fiddles (1st level Thief) - utterly consumed by a Crystal Ooze

'unknown' (1st level Cleric) - consumed by same Ooze - his life was so short and pathetic his character sheet was rubbed out and re-used, and I never made a record of his name!

Brungub (5th level Assassin) - lost his head to the Giant Crab in the Slave Lords' Dungeons (A4), this act of generosity provided the party with a useful bludgeoning weapon and ventriloquist's dummy.





Other deaths - these ones temporary:

Fiona (3) - failed System Shock after being turned into a rat.  Raised from the dead, now has a fear of cats and an obsession with cheese. (Dwellers of the Forbidden City).  Consumed delicious fruit tainted by the dead God Tharizdun in his Black Cyst - too much of it.  How silly.  Touched strong contact poison in the Treasure Room of the Fire Giant King Snurre - oops clumsy!

Tarrin (2) - walked through a painting and fell 10,000 feet, landing on the slope of a massive Pyramid. Raised from the dead, now scared of heights.  (Pharaoh - Pyramid). Failed to read the Health and Safety instructions supplied with a Cloak of Poisonousness, brought back again, this time by Gnomes (Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth)

Raregrills (5) - modelled a fine necklace he found on a skeleton, it started to strangle him so in an attempt to get free, he let himself be polymorphed into a monkey - and failed the System Shock! Wished back to life, scarred and somewhat morbid.... (Oasis of the White Palm - Temple of Set). Howled to death by a screaming Banshee, but miraculously brought back to life when the sands of time were reversed (Lost Tomb of Martek - Mobius Tower).  Squashed by falling ice in G2, wished back again!  Stabbed in the back by Obmi - and wished back yet again!! Fried by Brazzemal in G3.

Valeera (5) - took the full force of a Gorgimera's halitosis, brought back by a combination of a helpful Marid and Stone to Flesh. (S4 Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth), Chilled to the bone by Brown Mold  (Forgotten Temple of Tharizdun).  Squashed by falling ice in G2, wished back, then blasted by an Ogre Mage's Cone of Cold. Used up another party wish... Valeera doesn't like being cold it seems.... Tasted a Poison potion in G3

Corsa (follower of Vaux) (1) - became a very lifelike statue in what was once the lair of a Gorgimera (S4 Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth), restored by friendly Pech

Zack (3) - Lost a staring contest with a Bodak (S4 Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth). Shredded by the Tentacle Wall in G3.  Eaten by Fire Lizards soon after being Raised!

Gwennifer (1) - bravely faced a Hill Giant and his pet beetle head on, bravely got snapped like a twig by the beetle's jaws (S4 Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth)

Rem (2) - that fruit in the Black Cyst really was tempting.  Not having learned from Fiona's demise, Rem just had to try her luck........ 'bzzzzzzzzzzttt'.  Another one to be crisped by Brazzemal.

Sera (3) - almost suffocated by the Giant Sundew in Slave Pits of the Undercity, then her unconscious body was cunningly left with a 'rescued slavegirl'.  Slavegirl reverted back to Doppleganger and began feasting.  Party returned to find bits of Sera missing, and a Doppleganger with a full belly.  Got raised, but incomplete.  And tainted.  While carrying Lycanthropy she let her curiosity get the better of her and took a glance at the source of the female voice. Became a very lifelike statue, but in multiple pieces, and even more incomplete. (A2 - Secret of the Slavers Stockade). Brought back by the Slave Lords to be tormented in their Dungeons.... Tried on a Ring in Snurre's treasure room - did not live to regret it!

Billbus (2) - his friends thought they were performing a heroic deed in slaying a foul Efreeti, sadly 'twas poor Billbus, who had trodden on a pressure plate and filled the room with hallucinogenic gas (A2 - Secret of the Slavers Stockade). Brought back by the Slave Lords to be tormented in their Dungeons....

Toxim (2) - Taken down by friendly fire in the Fire Giant Hall - walked in front of a rebounding bolt of Lightning!

Woody, Harry, Wilford, Brungub, Toxim and Thaco - collectively overwhelmed by the forces of Markessa beneath the Slavers Stockade - there was a glimmer of hope for a brief moment - that was until Harry decided to set fire to the Web that was restraining the majority of Markessa's Elite troops.  Brought back by the Slave Lords to be tormented in their Dungeons....

Woody (2) Tried to charge a Gorgon in G3.

Harry (2) - the 3rd one to be singed by Brazzemal.
